I took this snapshot recently. It is the view from near my home in Moab, Utah. The greater Canyon Lands area has inspired me to write a NaNoWriMo.org novel set primarily on the mesa pictured in the photo. I’m having a lot of fun writing this Latter-day Saint romance between a local rancher and a French socialite. I needed a break from the epic fantasy series I’ll finish this spring and this is perfect. Over 18,000 words written this month!

 The rustling of leaves in a breeze enchants like the tinkling of crystal.

Forests give glory to God more profoundly than cathedrals.

 Nature’s leaves tell stories across time that I desire to read.
