“Although I have never been a fantasy reader, I really enjoyed the story of 'Woman of the Stone'. I had a bit of trouble keeping track of the many political factions and their intrigues, but maybe that's due to my not being practiced in reading this genre. I am a reader and author of romance novels and this story had enough of that to keep me involved and wondering what would happen next. In fact, at the end of this--the first in the series--I know which direction I'd like to see that aspect of Emerald's future take (wink). The pacing of the story was excellent and the characters interesting. I appreciated the good strong characters in particular. I also enjoyed the descriptive prose and could see the landscape and terrain--as well as the physical actions of the characters--clearly in my mind's eye. These are all elements that make up a good book for me. Well done, S.V. Farnsworth! It will be interesting to see where the next one takes us.”
